MaxiumLabs ("we," "us," or "our") built Rationed, a food logging and macro tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text. You may also provide optional profile information.

Food & Nutrition Data

The core function of Rationed is food logging. Data you enter may include:

• Food descriptions and meal logs
• Macronutrient and nutrition targets
• Weight or fitness metrics you voluntarily enter

This data is stored solely to power the app's tracking and history features. It is not sold or used for advertising.

AI-Processed Data

When you describe a food item for nutrition estimation, that text description is transmitted to OpenAI (GPT-4o mini) to generate a nutritional estimate. We do not send personally identifiable information alongside your food descriptions. OpenAI processes this data under their API usage policies, which by default prohibit using API inputs to train their models.
